CFKR’s Cranbrook Past & Present Teachers’ Legacy Fund Celebrates its First Two Years of Granting

Cranbrook, BC (November 27, 2024): Representatives from the Cranbrook District Teachers’ Association and the Cranbrook Retired Teachers’ Association recently gathered to celebrate the first two years of granting from CFKR’s Cranbrook Past and Present Teachers’ Legacy Fund.

The inaugural 2023 grant supported the purchase of instruments for the Cranbrook elementary school band program.

The 2024 grant was allocated to the SD #5 resource centre, to purchase class sets of books.

Since its inception in 2019, this endowment fund has become an important way for the SD#5 teaching community in Cranbrook to celebrate and remember colleagues and friends, while also supporting student success and wellness in Cranbrook’s public schools.
